Dawson Montfort and Noah Prater may be most well known locally for their business, Rise Performance 618. These entrepreneurs have embarked on several different business ventures and have had great success! One of these is Heartland Recruiting. With offices in the Rise Performance building, they work with companies all over the United States!

Dawson has a background in Safety Engineering and through his 10+ years of working in that capacity, he saw a need for qualified safety experts, in a variety of industries. He and Noah began looking into starting a recruiting business to provide those much needed services.

Just a few years later, they, along with their staff, have successfully amassed a team of over 45 professional, qualified, and hardworking safety engineers to safely and efficiently oversee major projects for such companies as Ford, Toyota and some of the biggest general contractors in the world!

They shared many principles, tips and experiences during our visit. The AJ Wildcats, Kyle Conway had some excellent takeaways:

“On Wednesday, we visited Heartland Recruiting. They are located in Rise Performance. They have 5 office staff and 45 jobsite staff. One thing that stood out to me was the immense amount of risk and trust involved with their business, especially from the perspective of a banker. This helps me because it reminds me, for our banker day, to assess my risk from the perspective of the banker. I believe that in doing this, I will be more likely to obtain the loan that I will need.

My biggest takeaway from this visit is the importance of a good team. A good team can make you, and a bad team can break you. Not only having a good team, but fostering the relationships within the team is just as important.

I really enjoyed this visit. I enjoyed it, primarily because of the people and their traits. I pray to one day be like them, knowledgeable and forever learning, disciplined, and focused. Again, it’s interesting to see how many businesses we have in our community that I’ve never heard of, and even more so with the large scale businesses.”
