About My Business

Having deep family roots in Southern Illinois, Madilyn knew that she wanted to start a business that would reflect her pride and appreciation for Union County. Madilyn incorporated her family’s agricultural background with her love of spa and beauty products as well as the unique scenery and features of Southern Illinois. Hence, The Farmer’s Granddaughter: Southern Illinois Scents was created! The Farmer’s Granddaughter specializes in handmade lotions, soaps, and several spa products for men and women, that feature scents from Union County. A few of her most popular scents include: Anna’s Annabelle, Pink Cookies, Shawnee Hills, Wine Trail, and Apple Orchard. Madilyn continues to add her product line. Understanding that, “Scent is the strongest tie to memory,” giving a gift of Southern Illinois will evoke memories of all the beautiful scenery, activities, and special gatherings that Southern Illinois, especially Union County, has to offer. If you were raised in Union County or only got to visit for a short time, a Farmer’s Granddaughter product can bring back those memories. Madilyn has a booth at Annabelle Market in Anna and will soon have one at Country Roads Flowers and Gifts in Jonesboro. Email thefarmersgranddaughterscents@gmail.com or follow her business on facebook @farmersgranddaughterscents.
